Hi,

I'm pretty new here and not really sure where this question should go but given I'm a solid-state guy I'll start here.

I'm building an EM shield for an AFM and having little experience in such matters I was hoping for some advice on construction materials. I'm down to about three options: a box of thin Al sheet, a Perspex box with Cu grid covering it or a Perspex box covered with conductive paint (http://www.stewmac.com/shop/Electronics,_pickups/Supplies:_Shielding/Conductive_Shielding_Paint.html). If there is anyone around with experience in such matters would you be able to point in the direction of the most effective option, or suggest something even better?

Thanks in advance!

Glen
