Using COMSOL4.0a:
If possible, I would greatly appreciate some help with my problem (simple case given, please see attached model):
1) I have a 1x1 square, with a quadratic mesh.
2) I would like to apply a displacement at one of the vertices given by the mesh (say [.2, .2] ).
I cannot come up with a way of doing this. It seems that the solid mechanics module only allows points that have been added to the geometry to be displaced.
So far, I have access to the coordinates of all vertices in the mesh (I retrieved them in using simulink / matlab). Can you please tell me if it is possible to apply a displacement at one of these vertices, without first adding it to the geometry?
