Are there any trends for different types of materials? I don't really know how to think about this intuitively. I found papers reporting positive values of the derivative dEg/dP, but another saying that the gap decreases with pressure. Is this the sort of thing that you need to do complex modeling to get any sort of insight, or are there any general physical trends?
