Tsu, I'll fix you a Bloody Mary later if you want some hair of the dog (pardon the expression).
Good morning everyone! May I extend my most humblest of apologies for exposing you to my drunken diatribe last night? I guess I got what I fondly remember my dad phrasing as 'pissy-eyed drunk'!!! :surprised But it sure was a FINE party!
Glad you finally showed up, Tom! :surprised And Russ, I was SO delighted to be the source of your greatest amusement (today).
I'm surprisingly UNhungover this morning, so work should be no problem. Oh. Work. THAT DAMN SCANNER!!!!!! I HATE TOSHIBA!!!!!!! (sorry. rant over.)
Hey! I believe I would would rather ENJOY a Bloody Mary, MIH!! But, uh... maybe we'd better make it a Virgin Mary. It will be a bit before I touch alcohol again. As a rule, I drink so very little, that when I DO drink, I'm a cheap date. I get pretty wasted pretty fast. Then I just want to drink a glass of water, take a couple of aspirin and go to bed. I have a family just chock FULL of alcoholics, so I just prefer to not go there.
SO! What are your plans for the weekend? Enigma, you've got a date? I plan to get a haircut and a massage. I have 8 days off starting next Wednesday! WOOHOO!!!!!! We're flying down to San Diego for a wedding reception. (Ivan's cousin got married.) She's a sweetie.
Someone put on some Led Zeppelin and let's get this party ROCKIN' again!!

It's been a long time since I rock and rolled,
It's been a long time since I did the Stroll.
Ooh, let me get it back, let me get it back,
Let me get it back, baby, where I come from.
It's been a long time, been a long time,
Been a long lonely, lonely, lonely, lonely, lonely time.
Oooh yeah, ooo oooh yeah !!
Oooh yeah, ooo oooh yeah !!
Thanks, Gokul. One of my favorites. Anyone have Kashmir? I need to get another CD. My old one got destroyed last summer on the boat.

My all-girl Heavy Metal band used to do that song!
Enigma, you've got a date?
Uh yeah... or whatever you want to call it.
Tomorrow, I'm helping friends of friends move. They need to be moved by Sunday, and just this morning they found out that their soon-to-be-member-of-the-family needs to be induced immediately. :surprised Don't get diabetes... I'm told it's a drag...
So she's at the hospital, and he's busy signing the lease so they have a place to move to. Needless to say, I volunteered my assistance.
After that, assuming the move doesn't take until midnight, I'll be doing the "date" thayng.
WOW! BIG drag!! Is it gestational diabetes? (did the diabetes show up while she was pregnant?)
Well, happy moving day then. Hope it goes real fast so you can get to the date thayng.
Is it gestational diabetes? (did the diabetes show up while she was pregnant?)
I don't think so. I don't know them that well, but I think she's had it her whole life.

It seems I went to bed a little too early last night and missed the party. Did Ivan have to pick you up off the bathroom floor this morning? Who knew Tsu was such a wild woman!
Tsu, just what were you doing with a dame scanner anyway?

Oh geez, that's rough. It's a good thing they have a good friend like you to help out. It's hard enough to have to adjust to the routine of a new baby, let alone not even having time to unpack your stuff first! Some babies are just so darned impatient.
Booyakashah!WOOHOO!!!! TOM'S PARTIES ROCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Can you prepare a Halloween party for GD later this month? :tongue2:
Tsunami, I'm sorry you had such a bad night. :frown: When I drink too much, fruit juice the next morning really helps.

Uh, yer a little LATE, sis!!! I'm nursing a mild hangover now.

And if I'm not mistaken, there is a BIRTHDAY happening sometime later this month????

Thanks, Evo. I'm heading for the ER OJ fridge!! I felt fine earlier, but now I'm sporting a tad bit of a headache. :frown: Oh well... It's Friday. My vacation starts Wednesday. I'll make it...
Tsu, just what were you doing with a dame scanner anyway?
Well, plover dear, if you will notice, the REST of my typing wasn't doing too well either!!   I believe that was supposed to be DAMN scanner.

Me me me...I have a birthday this month! And all of Tom's friends are invited, they're a fun crowd! Actually, I'll be in San Diego for a conference, but at least my presentation is the day before, so I can go out and celebrate the night of my birthday without having to worry about speaking after it. The only thing I have to decide if the lab has cake before or after the conference (just because I'll be away doesn't mean I will be rude and deprive the lab of birthday cake...we guilt everyone into telling their birthdays this way...if they don't tell us, then we all miss out on cake :grumpy: )
Hope the OJ helped your hangover.

Oh, I'll settle for a sailor  ...there's usually a lot of those in San Diego, which is where I'll be for my b-day. At least there were a lot of them around the last time I was there. I wasn't sure who the rowdier crowd was out in the bars, the 30,000 neuroscientists or the sailors. I think the neuroscientists gave the sailors a run for their money! Us scientists are pretty crazy when they release us from the labs.

Don't eat the check! :surprised
Similar packages have been sent to all members of the sisterhood to remind them that I will only be turning 19. Actually, I prefer 29. That was the perfect age. Old enough to really party, and young enough to still have the energy to survive it.
Don't eat the check! :surprised Ooops, pulls what's left of the chocolate covered check out of her mouth :blushing:
If humanino can't find you a french sailor, would you settle for one of his nuclear physicist buddies? I hear those French nuclear physics guys are pretty hot!! (and it's not all radioactive) :tongue2:

I did once get my wish for a man for my birthday (it was at a Halloween party...I'm not sure if there's something weird about falling for a guy covered in fake blood and carrying a butcher knife), so I figure it's worth wishing for one every year.

TUI...LOL!! I did that once myself, so I was very sympathetic to Tsu's posts last night. Apparently I get even more long-winded when drunk than I am while sober. Sent a friend a VERY long email filled with lots of typos, drunken ramblings, and a number of incomprehensible strings of characters that I can only surmise looked like sentences while I was drunk. You know you have a good friend when you send them an email like that and they DON'T quote lines of it back to you at later dates.
