Hi,

Is there a simple intuitive way to see how various trajectories in Minkowski map to the Minkowski conformal diagram? I've so far been playing with parametric plots on Maple to reproduce the well known things like radial null rays end at scri plus, and plotting the t=const, r=const lines etc. But how would I say take a uniform accelerating particle trajectory and see where that went in the CD without the machinery of Maple? Is there a simple argument to enable one to visualise things without having to use a computer to plot them?
