View Full Version : Mental Sex
A friend of mine is adament that it's completely possible to have mental sex. she can't explain it and has no idea how to do it, but i'd be interested to see what any of you may think.

What do you say we stop wasting time and give it a try? [:D]
Seriously though, how would dreams and nocturnal emissions fit into this, I mean, that’s pretty mental isn’t it?
Well I have no idea how it woould work, but I'm all for it[:D]
well i'd try and do it if i could figure out how it'd be done. but i guess it's something like dreams and stuff, or maybe something like telekinesis since i guess there'd have to be some reading of the other person's mind. and also seeing as how it's a mental thing do you think orgasms would be involved??

mental sex? you mean fantasy? or with another person?
First of all, imagine the start I got when I misread the title as "Mentat sex!" [g)] (I thought, No wonder his mom wanted him to stay away for awhile!) [g)]
I guess that phone sex might come close (no, I'm not speaking from experience). I think if we are talking more than fantasy where only one person is involved in the process, that some sort of communication for coordination would be required.
I have to agree with Artman. Basically what you're describing is phone sex, or anything of that type not involving physical contact. Yes it's possible, But it can't beat the good old-fashioned home grown stuff[;)]
Gale, I have to admit I'm starting to sense a trend here[;)]
well, first off, it's completely not physical, as in no masturbation. but i'm not sure about orgasms... as far as phone sex or things like that.. yes i suppose the idea is simliar, but it's not the same. it is something with an other person but not just talking and getting off... let me think..
oh ok, does anyone know that sandra bullock movie where it's like in the future and she meets some cop from the past (i think its that guy who played rocky) and like they wear helmet thingies to have sex??? well i think i mean something like that but like... with out the helmets maybe.
Gale, I have to admit I'm starting to sense a trend here
hahaha, yeah, it was only a matter of time until someone noticed...

Yes you're talking about demolition man, and if you figure out how to have telekinetic sex, by all means share the wealth[[;)]
hahaha, yeah, it was only a matter of time until someone noticed...
it's all good [:))]
yeah that's the movie, a dumb movie at that, but that's the one i meant. can't anyone concieve some way to like duplicate that kinda with out telekinesis?
or better yet, can anyone think of a way of orgasming without ever being touched? that'd be like mental sex eh?
Guys get it when going through puberty, tis called a wet dream and it happens when there asleep, normally.
yeah i meant with two people though... s'pose it's impossible, least until i get a cool helmet thingie or special magical powers
The cloesest thing I can think of is that MIT labs is working on a method for controling computers with your mind. So far they've been able to get a monkey to move a robotic arm. I supposed that technology could be applied to stimulating the pleasure centers. But we're still a long ways away from that.
So far they've been able to get a monkey to move a robotic arm.
Why didnt they get a human to do this? If a chimp is able to move a robotic arm shouldnt we be able to do more than that? Sorry to go off topic.

Actually I don't know any details. It's just a snipet I remember reading somewhere. Might have been off this site..

I would assume that it's because they weren't sure what it would do to the brain that tried to run it.
Regarding mental sex; yes, it can be done. Like your friend, I'm not sure exactly how it works, but it does usually involve orgasm, AFAIK. I'm not certain I believe in telepathy of any kind, so I tend to think of it in terms of subliminal messages sent by subtleties of body language, ect., and augmented by mental self-stimulation. Bear in mind, there is a small percentage of the female population, and an even smaller percentage of males, that can achieve orgasm simply by thinking about it, it's called "thinking off". As to whether or not these individualls are more capable of the kind of "mental sex" we're talking about here, I have no information. I would imagine that they are, however.
Are we just talking wet dreams or premature ejaculation?

There is a discovery that implanting an electrode in a certain place in a womans back, stimulating it electrically, causes orgasms, but that is neither telepathic nor telekinetic, but perhaps a manner of "Mental self stimulation" that remains unexplored, or merely unrecorded.
Lurch- where'd you hear about this "thinking off" thing?
and mr. RP where'd you hear about that electrode?
it seems so far though that we have some ideas for as mr rp dubs it "mental self stimulation" but does anyone see a possibilty for it to be a two person thing?

Yes, I was referring to a "two person thing", using the "solo" event only as a partial description. Though I don't know if this practice is really possible without any physical contact; there is usually an embrace, some hand-holding, placement of the hands on the back, the shoulder, etc.
As for the phenominon called "thinking off" there has been research done by that famous institute that does all the research into human sexuality (so famous that I can't remember the name, does anyone know it?). But there appears to be some info about it here (http://www.mypleasure.com/education/qanda/questions/1020.asp). I didn't read the link, but found that it contained the subject, at least.
hmm, definetly something i'll have to look further into. i bet i could be one of those few who can do it. that's also an interesting site btw.

Gale,
I've been around the block once
or twice, or three times, concer-
ning most of this kind of thing
(purely mental experiences) and
what your friend was telling you
is nonsence.
The first time anyone raised this
notion that I know of was Woody
Allen in his movie Sleeper.
The Sandra Bullock movie, also set
in the future, ripped the idea off
from him.
Woody Allen created the idea com-
pletely from nothing for comedy
purposes. It is not based on any-
thing anyone ever actually exper-
ienced.
A person might have a spontaneous
orgasm for one reason or another
and be under the mistaken impress-
ion that someone else also did at
the same time and that one caused
the other, or both were part of the same mental sex act, but they would be deluded in think
ing this.
Some people just jump to extrord-
inary conclusions.

Exactly the PROBLEM I stated above, the 'two person thing' HOW WOULD THEY KNOW???
Then again, zoobyshoe has jumped to the conclusion as well, just on the side of choosen dis-belief.
(AHEM there IS NO PROOF, not one way, nor the other, and I suspect there is NO proving it! either.)
As for "Mind offing' it, ergo "Force of Free Will" alone, that would be provable, orgasm without any physical contact what-so-ever, and I would like to know (NOT 'see') of the proof of that one cause to the best of my knowledge, it just ain't possible!
Just get a porn film, is that not mental enough?
yeah yeah, i s'pose yall are right abut the two person "how would they know it" thing. but it's still i nice idea.
oh, and i don't like porn andy.
The only piece of advice I can offer to your quandry is this:
God helps those who "help themselves"

If such a thing did exist the
proof that would satisfy me
(pun intended) would be to com-
pare stories with the other
participant after the fact and
find that she,too, had experienced
the same thing.
She and I would not be able to
convince a third party by report
alone but could, maybe, teach the
mental technique so that they
could experience it for themself.
I believe this would be the only
way to prove it.
I am not, accurately speaking,
"choosing to disbelieve".
I am willing to be persuaded by
evidence. The fact I have never
heard anyone claim that such a
thing exists before this may only
mean I've been seriously out of
the loop. My intuition, though, is
that if it did exist how could it
possibly be kept so secret?
Sex with no fear of pregnancy or
STDs? No muss, no fuss?
Seems like everyone would be doing
it.

While it would make a great "safe sex" tool, much like John Spartan from demolition man- where Gale mentioned this idea- I still prefer the old bump n grind, horizontal mambo, laying pipe, exchanging of bodily fluids, whatever your euphamism is. There's just no substitute for the real thing[;)]

case where Patricia Richardson is
involved, then yeah, to hell with
the safety.

Mr. Robin Parsons,
I have just come from reading
your post in the appendicitis
thread. I found it to be exceptionally fonty.
And written only yesterday. Are
you certain your excursions away
from default could accurately
be described as "rare"?

Change in font usually means change to Arial, Or Verdana, Courier/Century/Times in these forums.
I did NOT mean that I do NOT use emboldening, or italics, or color, or size, as I do, but that is not IMO 'Fonty', it is "font enhancement"
BTW whatever happened to the thread topic, "mental sex", or was that "French mental sex"???

Mr.Robin Parsons,
You are ABSOLUTLY CORRECT! A mental glitch caused me to confuse
the terms font and font
characteristics.
In this way, one person sharpens
anothers accurate use of
words, and the world becomes a
clearer thinking place.
