I enjoy doing derivations, and would like to know if there is any interest around here in setting up a derivations section somewhere in the forums, or perhaps in the library part of the website?
Derivations are important in the understanding of physics, because they show on which assumptions our modern theories depend, and should therefore be shared as much as possible. Also, I think that often the focus is given to the application of physical theory, without talking about its derivations at all. It would be great having a resource on physicsforums with many important derivations in the field of physics.
