Denoise piecewise linear signal using wavelet footprints

Hi,

I have to denoise a piecewise linear signal using wavelet footprints. I tried denoising using db2. I guess I have correctly generated the footprints dictionary. But I couldn't follow the algorithm beyond that. Can anybody give a clearer explanation of the algorithm.
