I am currently learning thermodynamics and statistical mechanics. at the present time i am dealing with entropy and all the equations involving partial derivatives, etc.. does anyone have any pointers for keeping all the various values and rates of change in perspective? it seems like i am spiraling in a world of letter games at this point, i am having trouble applying what I learn to actual problems. Thanks for any advice.
