Is it just me or are people getting taller?

I am kinda tall at 6'1" but man I feel short these days. Most of my friends are over 6'2" and I would say I feel shorter than about 25 % of guys (srs). Are people getting taller?

According to the CDC the average American has grown an inch taller and 25 lbs heavier since the 1960s. In places like Japan there is a dramatic generation gap and in both cases the result is thought to be largely the result of simply having more to eat.
