I'm wondering if there's any device with the following property:
Its alarm goes off if some light source enters the region between 2 concentric sphere whose center is at the device. But it doesn't go off otherwise.
I'm sure it can be done by setting up multiple sensors on the surface of the inner sphere. But how about with a single piece of device at the center?
