Hey,
I'm having difficulties to model the attached system mathematically, I tried to get help in engineering forums however it seems that most engineers (including me) forget their Math the moment they graduate :)
The attached system is a free fall mass hits the damped system with velocity V, as a result there's relative movement y1 and y2. Basically I need to find y1 and y2. I'll appreciate if someone could help me to understand how to model the system.
