Because it's the best kind of evidence!

well, I dunno but just before my grandfather died I had a dream (more like a nighmare) where I was brushing my teeth and then I look up the mirror and then there, instead of my face was my grandmother's face (who had been dead since my mum was 11). whenever she tried to tell me something her face always turned to a skull. I screamed my head off and my mum and sister came in and asked what was wrong. I just pointed at the mirror and I could still see her trying to tell me something. My mum and sister couldn't see her, and they kept saying "There's nothing there..." and then I woke up... and then several months later we got a phone call that my grandfather was hosptalized. And then he died about a week later. *gets spooked*

Now there's some rock hard stuff!

Good one

I tend to think of anecdotal evidence as on a par with old wive's tales, but - as a friend of mine used to say - even old wives can tell the truth i.e. can make an accurate observation and report it to their peers. Over time its eventually sunk in that perhaps randomised double-blind placebo trials aren't the only way of getting to the truth.

No one caught on to the irony of only giving one example of an anecdote?
