I've got a question. I need to write a short paper on an application of complex analysis to physics. I'm aware that real valued integrals of certain functions can sometimes be solved by evaluating the contour integrals of other functions.
Does anyone know of a real valued integral that arises in physics, which can be solved using a complex analysis approach? I don't need to know how to actually do the problem (that'd take away from the fun!). But I'd appreciate any suggestions.
