Hey, has anyone considered that vacuum energy may be responsible? If
it is passing through every point in every direction than maybe it is
exerting a very small pressure, perhaps dwarfed by gravity but acting
over a longer distance. This would explain the increasing rate of
expansion as matter moves farther apart.
