I have an exam in my Ordinary Differential Equations class tomorrow and I can seem to wrap around the concept of limit sets and how to determine the ω-limit set (and \alpha- limit set) For example, if we are asked to find the limit sets for r'=.5(r-r^3) and \vartheta'= 1.

I know that the graph is a circle with radius 1, but I can't understand how my professor got the limits sets that he did. If there is any helpful tip you can offer me I would greatly appreciate it!
