Does it not seem like it is everywhere? Am i the only one?

I think i know know the true nature of concupiscence.

(By pornography i mean lurid, as well as sexually-obsessive material).

How do i get rid of it? I can't possibly get rid of the computer, nor stop watching TV.

ps. a hilarious -- in a way sadistic -- comment: right after typing this, i went on a site to get a plugin for MSN Messenger and saw a bunch of pornography images. How expected.

Heh, I typed in "whistle," on the Google Image search, I got a naked women with a whistle in her mouth. Or type in "toreador," or "unexpected," or "russian," or "keys." You get porn everytime...

I'm not sure what that means.

But seriously Moonbear, this isn't a joke. I'm in serious crisis here.

I'm not even going to try those keywords, because i know you're telling the truth.

Doesn't it bother you?

He was quite concerned with the amount of porn on his computer too.

You could move to the US...somehow those sites all know when you have an IP address originating in the US and pixelate anything that might be considered "offensive." Do you really want that much censorship?

Doesn't it bother you?

It really doesn't bother me. Maybe it's all the censorship in the US. I don't really see it much. Sure, the sites come up on my google searches (I think they put the entire dictionary into meta files for some of those sites), but you can tell what they are from the names usually, so just don't click on those links. Spam filters seem to keep the ads out of my email inboxes.

Nay. Not nearly enough porn!!! :tongue2:

Seriously though, it is pretty annoying. But keep in mind, porn has driven technology. I mean, VHS, DVD, broadband.... why else do you think broadband took off? It's not so Mr. daytrader can get his stock quotes faster or so grandma can download more recipes.

I spend several hours on the internet every week (PF, news, e-mail, general browsing) and I hardly come across any pornography; likewise for TV.

Almost the only time I'm likely to come across nudity, is when I use Google Image Search, which is extremely rarely.

Or is it that the pornography doesn't come across you?

It may be that too...but I find it surprising that it comes across someone who wants to stay away from it.

I might sounds extreme to the max, but i will say it since it is since a long time in my stomach, even it goes up to my mouth nad i will "say" it, or it will go somewhere else and ends up in the resroom...

PORN IS EVERYWHERE....Yes!

Go and see a movie, you find naked women, making "love" infront of every body and call it "art", making thier bodies as "exhibition" for "every looker" and for "free" in some aspects, i see this as an acceptable type of porn in our society that we can see it in cinemas, sinice the porn here is done with a stupid silly story.

I feel the same way totally, you usually don't come across it unlesss you go looking for it. Except for on Comedy Central or G4-TechTV.

You know Google can filter out adult or mature sites, right?

I don't know why this thread was resurrected. That post was a while ago. Yes, I can filter those sites with Google...though discovered that probably after that post (actually, in the Google image search, it seems to be the default setting).

It doesn't much matter to me either way. I can tell from the titles if something is likely to be a porn site, so don't follow the link if I don't want to look. I'm well past the age of consent and know what naked bodies of both sexes look like, so it really doesn't bother me to see them if I do stumble across it.
