\breve{A} is a symbol I keep seeing, I think it has to do with operator (maybe umbral) calculus, but I can't seem to find anything. What is this symbol caused and what is it used for in mathematics? Also, does anyone know what the ⊙ symbol means? I can't seem to find anything about where these notations are commonly used in math or physics.
