I was wondering if anyone would speculate on the probability of ever
EMPIRICALLY encountering a parallel universe. If probability is high,
by what reasonable means could this be accomplished? Entering a black
hole, traveling faster than light, time travel, or mind-melding with
super computers do not meet the standard of reasonable means.

i dont know what im talking about but.. ive heard the idea of another universe millimeters away or even smaller than that, maybe smaller than a super string, but if you had enough energy you could bump matter "up into" this area and into the new universe

It appears that everyone figured out that the probability of empirically ecountering a parallel universe is zero. Parallel lines never intersect and parallel universes never meet. If they did, they would never really be parallel. The real great thing about mathematically generated entities is they have far less restrictions than empirical entities.

Hi,
It may be possible to create wormholes using E/M forces, rather than exotic matter, to facilitate travel between this continuum and other space/time continuums embedded in a higher dimensional space.

Using the same forces and assumptions, would it be possible to create one's own continuum?
The concept being that it would encompass a sturdy enclosure to "travel" at will to different parts of this continuum via extra-continuum means.

Hi cosmicDASD,
I don't see why it might not be possible. If one surrounded one's enclosure with the proper field configurations on all necessary levels it might be possible to travel that way.
