Can anyone tell me how phase modulation of an EM wave actually change
its phase and only frequency?
I would like to know the effect of changing the phase on the angular
freq, freq, and also phase
Kindly help

this is a good one for comp.dsp . briefly, the time derivative of
instantaneous phase is frequency. for a constant frequency, the (unwrapped)
phase increases linearly forever. deviations of phase from that linear
trend can be modeled as the (indefinite) integral of some non-zero frequency
deviation from the "constant" frequency.
