Virus and worm

What is the diffrence between a computer virus and a worm :confused:
Is there anything more similar to them? :smile:

the word "virus" is the generic term for worm, viruses and trojans.

viruses try to contaminate as much files as possible on a system. They don't really distribute themselves over the internet.

Worms do that. They try to contaminate as computers as possible in a network. You see that "worm" is a rather new word :-)
