A single quantum may be of any topological genus in phase space, where each genus acts as a quantum hole. Accordingly, a quantum can bound countless holes (which are analogous to electronic holes in their relative behavior). These holes can emulate strings as well.

A quantum with 1081 genera (holes) could represent the visible universe and its nucleons within. The quantum mechanics of these generic holes follows a "virtual wavefunction" (see P-Duality: Quantum Mechanics Inside-Out) (http://www.quantumdream.net)
in whose phase space genera establish themselves as virtual particles with an inverse symmetry to the corrosponding real-particle universe. A quantum holds the potential to manifest the virtual image of the entire cosmos.
