Time and Energy are inextricably intertwined within the very fabric of our universe. One cannot exist without the other. So where there is ANY type of energy, there is a temporal component governing it.

Simplisticly, we measure Time by the rate of change in an object. However, the Universe measures Time by a different standard. It measures Time by energy state.

Therein lies the answer to your paradox.
