Infinite strength and infinite weight

Click For Summary
SUMMARY

The discussion centers on the paradox of an object with infinite strength attempting to support an object with infinite weight. Participants, including Warren, emphasize that such scenarios are non-physical and cannot yield sensible answers. The consensus is that these questions fall outside the realm of physical inquiry and are deemed idle speculation, leading to the locking of the thread.

PREREQUISITES
  • Understanding of basic physics principles
  • Familiarity with concepts of strength and weight
  • Knowledge of paradoxes in theoretical discussions
  • Awareness of the limitations of physical laws
NEXT STEPS
  • Research the concept of paradoxes in physics
  • Explore the laws of scaling in physical systems
  • Study the definitions and implications of infinite strength and weight
  • Investigate philosophical discussions surrounding non-physical questions
USEFUL FOR

Students of physics, philosophers interested in theoretical discussions, and anyone exploring the boundaries of physical laws and paradoxes.

By the laws of scaling, what would it be like if an object with infinite strength (which does not exist) would try to support an object with infinite weight (also does not exist. I know, this is one of those 'this cannot happen because it is a paradox' things so please forgive me)

Nonsensical questions rarely have sensible answers.

Your question is non physical, therefore there can be no physical answer. These forums are about physical answers to physical queations. Not idle speculation.
