Recently, there was a question i came across that asked:

The graph shows how the amplitude of an oscillating system varies with its driving frequency. What will the resultant graph be if the system is placed in a fluid?

My answer was that the peak would be smaller and shift to the right while my teacher's answer was that it was smaller and shifted to the left.

what would the correct answer be and what would the explanation be for this answer? any help would be appreciated> thanks

If you put the system in water, then the oscillations are going to slow down. That is because water exerts a greater drag than air does. So your teacher is correct.
