View Full Version : Have you been to Lincolnshire?
Yes [:)]. Not too far from where I live.
What's that got to do with the poll though?[:D]
Where abouts in lincolnshire do you live. I live in Stixwould near Lincoln!!!
Just felt like doing a pole, silly really
I meant Lincolnshire is not too far from where I live (relative to the universe [:)] ). I'm originally from S. Yorks but used to have relatives living somewhere in Lincolnshire.
I take it it was you who would prefer to live in Stixwould out of all those places in your poll (!!). Gimmie Hawaii....or Barbados..or...um can't decide [;)]
I have been to Spalding three times.
Hs anyone been on holiday to skegness, if you have i feel sorry fot you![:D]

yes, i've been.
What ever for, you deprived child
I went to Skegness when I was 5. I didn't really have much say in the matter. All I have to say about the sea is I went in with a white t-shirt, and it came out...I'm not sure how to describe the colour as I've never seen anything like it again. That's the only place I've been to in Lincolnshire. Anyone been to Derbyshire?
^I've been to a lot of places in the Peak district.
Your t-shirt was a prime example of what happens when you go into water that has chemical and sewage waste flowing into to it[g)]. Not to mention all the hospital waste and all of Lincolnshires dead bodies. I feel sorry for you[:(]
Theres a town right next to mine called Lincolnshire...suburb of Chicago

Um..enlighten me on that one please...
Get a map and look up lincolnshire on the east coast of England
I think youll reconise some of these places
Boston
New York
Lincoln
Lincolnshire
The people who founded the cities in America were born in these places then emigrated to the USA. New York is a village of 80 people. A bit different to your New York. Boston has a population of 20.000. Lincoln 100.000 and lincolnshires overall population is 450.000. Some years ago some people sailed to America and founded these settlements.
Does that make it clearer, try looking in an atlas.
Ah you mean the Pilgrim Fathers. I didn't know (before today) that they were originally from Lincolnshire - actually Nottinghamshire particularly aswell from researching earlier. I was a little puzzled at first since you wrote 'discovered' America, rather than 'colonized' [;)].
Have been to a lot of the surrounding areas but not lincolnshire.
What is so good about lincolnshire?
