Symmetry

A reshuffling or rearrangement of an object that leaves it invariant, or the same.

An example would be that before the 19th century, electricity and magnetism were thought to be two sperate forces, it is now very much understood that the are different sides of one of the fundamental forces, electromagnetism.

Supersymmetry
The symmetry that interchanges bosons and fermions, in principle can unify all the particles in the universe into...

While I was flying to Houston from San Diego, I read an article talking about how blogging could make a big difference in networking professionals alike. I was deeply convinced by the article. This is my poor attempt to share information regarding medical physics and get to know people who are interested in medical physics like me. Truth to be told, I'm not a English speaker so you will find my words here are rather bothersome.

Anyway, I'm about to start grad program in UTHSCH....

The following is an attempt to establish simple parameters for the ring singularity* in a rotating black hole based on Planck density.

*Regardless of how compact matter is, if it has density then technically it's not a singularity but in theory, the energy that makes up both matter and space combines at Planck dimensions, creating a quantum 'foam' supported by either Loop Quantum Gravity or strings so even though it has dimensions, it might still be described as a singularity as...

In this idyllic setting , my mind strays to such mysteries as …
what is the nature of the invisible aether which fills the bowliverse, and which is detectable only by the resistance felt when I wiggle my fins?
