A lot of people ask about the X-Zylo and there is a small inexpensive book on Amazon about the physics of the flight dynamics from a debate among MIT grad students in Aero/Astro. I think it says it performs basically like an infinite lift surface because of the cylinder and rotation. They tested modifications too.
