How to make a video like this on a Mac

Now this guy makes a video very similar to how Khan Academy would. But the difference is that he can actually put well printed equations( maybe latex) into it as well as circle things to monentarely highlight while not having to erase.

So, any idea what software he uses? Is this even feasible on the mac?

Alienware Aurora 9700

My father brought an Alienware Aurora 9700 after many years of service it's graphics card gave in. He replaced it with another but he applied to much thermal past which spilt off and fried the board. I don't know all the facts because he gave up on it a year ago. Today I took it out of cupboard and examined it, when I plugged it in, the power button started to glow Attachment 59522but when I pushed it nothing happened, is this because if the damaged graphics card or could something else be wrong? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Compaq CQ71-401SA keyboard

I'm trying to replace the cooling fan on a Compaq CQ71-401SA laptop, but have run into a problem with the keyboard removal. All the manuals that I've found online say that, having removed the relevant screws, I should rotate the keyboard and it will come free from the laptop body, my problem is there is a silver strap connected to the keyboard under the bottom left hand and to the body of the machine across about one or two inches, the strap is very tight and restricts the rotation of the board to about 40 degrees. It is defintly not a ribbon cable, it looks as if it might be some kind of heat conducting material. None of the manuals or forums that I've found show this strap and I cannot see anyway to remove it short of cutting it off. Has anyone had a similar problem?

Quad core vs Dual core CPU

As a soon to be physics major I am about to purchase a laptop. However, I can't decide what I want. Should I go for a laptop with a dual core processor with a higher clock rate or a quad core processor with a slower clock rate. The laptop with the quad core is a bit out of my price range but I am willing to stretch if it is worth it. What do you think?

How to fix my laptop battery Lithium Ion when it does'nt charge.My friend says that his battery became stronger when he put it on the refrigerator,so i did also because my battery is having a problems with its charging.When it became full,and I'm using it before 20% it shutdown itself.But,after i put it on a cold,i realize that it become more weak on its battery life.How can i return the performace of my lithium ion battery??

He is learning Chinese language, he used my computer to get onto Google Translate last Sunday. Ever since, my computer is getting slow and I can hear the cooling fan always on. The mouse is like missing a beat!!! Can anyone tell me where to look for that translation program and disable it. He did not play any game or anything, just that, so its should be limited.

I use Firefox and I went into "Tools", "Add-Ons" and disable most of the programs in the background already. Still, that doesn't help.

Document management + easy way to scan?

Hi I�m looking for two things
1. An easy and fast way to scan (take pictures) of my notes/figures/drawings so i can put them on my computer.
2. A smart document management system for science classes at university. I often make good notes and drawings on paper but it would be nice to have an easy way to retrieve all the drawings on my computer and a fast way of storing and organizing them. It takes forever to use my old scanner to scan my documents.

I would appreciate some suggestions. I'm using windows 7 by the way :)

Hello,

I am having troubles ridding my research paper of this thorn in my side:

It is a rather random line of dots. I have tried everything in my power to remove it, but to no avail. I am, for some odd reason, unable to highlight it. Furthermore, temporarily deleting the surrounding paragraphs has no effect on the dotted line.

Any suggestions?

i am making a comment system using dreamweaver and mysql ,
and the data i wrote it in the text area didnt not save in the mysql _db ,
below the index page contain the general fourm to let the user write comment

Computer power button troubles

So I can't turn on my computer because the power button is faulty. This has been a problem I've had for years now, and for years I've tried to avoid turning my computer off at all costs and rather would put it to sleep so that I can turn it back on with a press of the keyboard, but someone recently used my computer and shut it down, so I'm stranded here with battered and bruised fingers from pressing the power button so much.

I've read that it's possible to bypass the power switch by short circuiting something or other, but I'm not going to have any hope in figuring this out alone. I need help.

Also, it's an acer and the model is an HP Pavilion dm3 Notebook PC.

Restoring XP back to yesterday or before.

My grandson installed something on the computer and it really mess up the computer. It is a XP Pro system. Is there any way to recover the computer to a past date before today?

It boot up after half an hour of self checking, everything is in slow motion. I went into the control panel and can't find what he installed. He said he installed a new Java but I can't find it. I just want to return to this morning!!!
