So I finally made it to the PhD studentship in theoretical high energy physics!

Now I have a lot to learn, good to know what field I will be into the next 4years. I will mainly do supersymmetry and astroparticle physics. Thus, I will try to get a couple of good Standard Model and SUSY phenemology books and study them at the same time I improve my programming skills. So, my application for the phd studentship at the Theoretical Particle Physics group at Uppsala University has done very well! Many many applications, and I am among the 3 top candidates! Yesterday I performed a presentation of physics and was interviewed. Very exciting :-)

Crackpots; persons who make up their own scientific theories - without using science, seems to be strongly correlated with persons who are into New Age and similar movements.

My latest finding was actually a member on this forum who is member and chief-staff in a New Age oriented club/fellowship who believes that one should not wear clothes, since that was not what God ('the Creator') intended humankind to be, i.e. they are nudists.

18days of holiday awaiting!

I am in phase with almost all my classes, so there will be plenty of time to go to the gym and hang out with my friends.

I will also continue my Supersymmetry studies, I am on chapter 4 here (http://www-thphys.physics.ox.ac.uk/p...hison/susy.pdf ) my goal is to have covered at least chapter 8.

So now exam in relativistic quantum physics is over! I should be able to get the highest grade, only sloppy errors can make me fail this one.

Now I have to catch up with the Quark- and hadron physics class and the project I got from my former thesis supervisor on eta-decays.

I also need to write a good application for a phd-studentship in theoretical particle physics, I think I have a chance on that one.
