Molecular and Supramolecular Materials - open access journal

Aims and Scope & Call for Papers

Molecular and Supramolecular Materials covers the multi-disciplinary
areas of molecular and supramolecular materials as they relate to the
design, synthesis, and characterization of novel materials such as
crystalline solids, liquid crystals, polymers, nanostructures, and thin

Topics covered by the journal include:
Syntheses and design of novel molecular and supramolecular
materials such as crystalline solids, liquid crystals, polymers,
nanostructures, and thin films;
Techniques for synthesis (self-assembly, crystal growth, chemical
vapor deposition, epitaxy, spin coating, Langmuir-Blodgett);
Effects of noncovalent bonds (hydrogen bonds, pi-pi stacking,
ionic) on materials properties;
Computational techniques and theoretical methods to rationalize and
predict properties of molecular and supramolecular materials;
Properties such as optical, electronic, magnetic;
Techniques (X-ray analysis, spectroscopy, microscopy) applied to
molecular and supramolecular materials;
Applications in modern technology (electron devices, displays,
sensors, optoelectronic devices).

The journal is operated by a board of editors consisting of
internationally known active researchers, made available online for
free, utilizes a web-based review process for speedy turnaround up to
high standards.

Molecular and Supramolecular Materials is an "open access" journal.
Open access publications differ from subscription based journals
because their entire contents are made freely available online with no
subscription or registration barriers. In addition, we allow our open
access authors to retain their own copyright as long as they sign a
Creative Commons Attribution License, which allows readers to freely
access, print and redistribute an article as long as it is properly

In addition to regular issues, special issues will be organized by
Guest Editors. Proposals for special issues should be submitted to the

Manuscripts are invited and should be submitted by one of the authors
of the manuscript through the electronic Manuscript Tracking System
