Derive relationship between Young modulus and Shear modulus
1. The problem statement, all variables and given/known data
Show that G=E/(2(1+v)) where G is shear modulus, E is young modulus, and v is poisson ratio.
Can anyone please walk me through this? I have absolutely no idea. Thanks
