I'm looking for articles, papers, news on legislation parsed that involved the Executive dominating parliament, severely diminishing the relevance of parliament. For example, legislations that were controlled and pushed by cabinet, with little influence of backbenchers. I may not be explaining this properly, sorry; please ask for reiteration if I'm not.

The Carbon Tax was a piece of legislation that was pushed by Gillard and her cabinet, the rest of the party didn't necessarily agree yet had to according to party lines.

Andrew Wilkie and poker machine pre-commitment; looked like an example of an Independent being able to get his way due to his balance of power position and the deal he did with Labour after the 2010 election), until they got Peter Slipper to be Speaker.
