The expanding universe and black holes
I recently attended a lecture by Brian Greene. One of the things he mentioned was that he now thinks the big bang was caused by about a pound of a special kind of pure energy (if someone knows the name of this please say, I'm having a hard time remembering what he called it. Infinitium or something like that). He also said that as space is created the energy is created along with it as well.
My question is what happens when space is created between the event horizon and the singularity and is filled with this energy? Is this feeding the blackhole? It seems that if a energy were being injected into the space between the event horizon and the singularity it would be consumed.
