vortex created by a magnet?
Could you sustain a vortex in a vessel of water by ionising the water with high voltage ?

seems like a cool idea. I don't know that the charge would be strong enough to do anything usefull with it. It seems you'd need a pretty powerfull magnet to do such, if it is even possible.
But isn't the fact that rivers flow a certain way in different parts of the world attributed to the poles? |

Yeah guess the charge would have to be very high and the vortex spinning awful fast for it to have any effect.
