Variational Calculus problem with unique condition

...at least it's unique to me!
I want to find the function for which the integral of a functional form, say F(x,x',t), with given endpoints x(a)=m, x(b)=n and m < n, is stationary ; however, I have the constraint that x(t) < n for t < b. Is there an easy way to add this constraint into the problem? I'm new at working with variational calculus, and I haven't found anything online that deals with this sort of problem - thanks.
