i have some questions about the experimental fixture of frank hertz experiment

1- why do we consider that the applied accelerating voltage is the going totally for the kenitic energy ?
2- after the anode we apply a voltage of 0.5 volt, for what sake ? and what if we increased or decreased the value of this voltage ?
3- why can't we observe peaks when we apply 6.7 volts while we have an energy level for this voltage

hope the questions are clear

thank you
