I only skimmed through a bit of it, but I suppose you're referring to the fact that sollubility is dependant on temperature?
No. Acetic acid is actually liquid at room temperature (melts around 16 deg C) and is miscible with water. I was referring to the fact that "dilute" is meaningless.

I guess the best way of putting it would be M(CH3CH2OH (aq)) = x.

Wait, is (aq) redundant with M? Probably is.
M means moles per liter of mixture, doesn't have to be in water (although in most cases it is in water).

But we are getting off topic

Random thought: how does one go off topic in an off topic thread?

Is it an offence to go on topic in the random topic thread?

It's summer and today was the first day under 90 degrees this week.

I wish I wasn't on-call this weekend. Rafting is going to be awesome!

Yes, lots of rain here too. 17C isn't uncomfortable, true, but it should be a bit warmer. Everything is blooming late!

I wonder if rafting is easier than kayaking. Oh, those eddy lines...

As a matter of fact, yes.

My wife. She's bugging me to go.(In July )

What's wrong with a nice, quiet, cool sailing cruise through the Great Lakes?

Vegas is actually pretty tolerable in the summer (and I hate heat). I was there last summer and was walking outside on the strip when it was 105 degrees. It didn't bother me too much because, like they say, it's a dry heat (and I had a really big hat and a bottle of water). Of course most of the time you'll be in the nice cold casinos or by the pool.

I think I want to go next month for a couple of days. I want to see the Cirque du Soleil Beatles-themed show at the Mirage.

All exactly what we experienced as well.

My scalp is sweating. (Habanero relish and hot mustard on an Applegate stadium hot dog.) It's cool and raining outside, and I was a bit cold, just sitting around. No need to start a fire, though - plenty warm now.
