Visualising numerical solution to geodesics in some metric
Suppose we have solved numerically (using programming) how the co-ordinates of (t,r,theta, phi) vary with proper time tau, what would be the most informative way of visualising this solution?
I was thinking of doing a 3D spherical polar plot of (r,theta, phi) but then I'm not sure how to add the element of how t varies with tau. I suppose we could just plot t vs tau, r vs tau, etc. in 4 separate plots, but is this really all that useful? |
