So, I hear www.youtube.com/watch?v=hWrk-brFCrY movie won an Oscar. It looks like a painful and worthwhile movie to watch.

Yes, so sad, so absurd, that beliefs (and actions) of this sort persist in our modern world. But, optimistically, there are people from those cultures who have adopted better, imo, ideas.

Thanks rootX, I was trying to look for it the other day. My mom told me it was on the news and I couldn't believe it. Sigh, so sad.. :(

Quitting University was the best thing I ever did in my life. I needed to get out and earn more money, and fell into better and better jobs. Never got a degree.
