Software for symbolic tensor manipulation?

Hi, I'm looking for software that allows me to manipulate tensors as symbols themselves, i.e. not as lists of components as Matlab and Maple do. In other words I want to be able to specify some tensors of arbitrary dimensions, defined by constants, and perform various operations on them as well as specify symbolic functionals of such tensors and their difference. Any ideas?
