Documentary about massive excavation site at Motala, Sweden


Along the Motala, a major waterway since time immemorial, with signs of habitation going back 7000 years, the preservation conditions are so good that the archeologists there are overwhelmed not only by stone tools, but with a profusion of organic remains, not the least being expertly crafted tools made out of bone.
An estimated 200.000 finds have surfaced since the excavations began in 2000, and they think they have dug out about 50% by now.

The following 20 minutes documentary, with subtexts in English is well worth a look (even though it is NOT PG-13, since a rather suggestive thingy was found there as well..):
