Motion of Conical Pendulum Pushed in Tangential Direction?


What would happen to a conical pendulum if the mass were given an initial push in the tangential direction? I suppose that means an extra force is added to the free body diagram (in addition to mg and tension), but what exactly happens to it? Could someone please also explain this in a semi-quantitative way? Thanks :)
