Fatigue life cycle analysis


I'm looking to see if anyone has some good resources for calculating the life (in cycles) of a pin that is used to affix a spur gear to a shaft much like the example of the dowel pin seen on this page:

Any help is greatly appreciated as I'd like to know what I should expect to see while performing the testing of a new gearbox.
