Calculation of Spin of Ball in Table Tennis

Hi !

I am working on the modelling of the Table Tennis game.
Can I calculate the Spin of the Ball after hitting without using any camera and any vision system.
I know the velocity of the ball before and after the hitting in all directions (x,y,z) and velocity of the racket as well.
Is there any mathematical formula or relationship to find the spin of the Ball after hitting ?

How do you calculate the velocity, without taking spin into account? Both spin and velocity will depend on the material of the racket. One limiting case is "like wood", an elastic collisions without any change in the spin, and the other limiting case should be a very sticky racket, where the spin reverses.

In the start of the game the ball will fall vertically downward like free fall. In this case we can calculate the velocity of the ball before hitting because initially there will be velocity in y-direction and no spin.

Even there, you have to take the material into account. This will influence both the velocity and spin in such a way that it is pointless to calculate one parameter without the other one.
