Ah 'Kelvin', could mean Belfast Glasgow or Camebridge. But I could not get adequate visual confirmation earlier.
Googling Belfast Kelvin site:panoramio.com gives good results. I'll start working on a next. |

If you googled Kelvin glasshouse
You get up a couple of pictures of the Gardens on the first couple of pages but I suppose I have a bit of an advantage as I've walked through them before. In fact the very first picture links to the wikipedia page for the gardens. |

![]() (Note for FF (no hint) I really did not manage to undo the masking for the reverse image searcher. But if it's still possible, I'd like to know how.) |

Thanks, yes this one seems very tough to sell.
The person is also known for his report about his survival of a great flood in 1634 |

With the last clue it is rather easy to find. Searching for 1634 flood in Google gives the Wikipedia entry for Burchardi flood as the first result. This in turn links to Jan Leeghwater, which contains a picture of the building with a link to the entry on Graft-De Rijp. |

Correct of course and as Fuzzyfelt remarked Leeghwater translates to empty water. The problem is likely the "h" as when you translate empty water to leegwater, without "h", it's not going to help much. Maybe I should not have given the year of the flooding but I'm off tomorrow on a mission and I wanted it to be solved.
If reverse image search on the mill would have worked it would have produced this page, revealing the correct place of the landmark (De Rijp) in the Beemster polder, the first one. |

I've been very busy and didn't have time to research but my first thought was to search for 1630 Netherland architect because of the date on the top of the building.
