Glad it was just a tire and you're ok.
Thanks Evo. This is the first time it happened to me and hopefully the last time. :)

Thanks. He still climbs up in the bed of his pickup with a pole-pruner and prunes his apple tree, maintains his own snowmobiles, and lots of other stuff. I have tried to keep him from climbing ladders and raking snow off the roof, but he's sneaky and I can't be up there to watch him all the time.

I want sushi, but I don't feel like getting a production together.

You know how when you get your tastebuds all set for something, nothing else hits the spot?

Oh yeah. I get it a lot with chocolate - THERE IS NO SUBSTITUTE!!!11!

My sushi craving is better characterized as a ginger-wasabi craving .

I came across this cheese recently. One of my favorite cheddar's. Great for a chicken cheddar broccoli soup that is sharp enough to bite back.

I can't decide which one I like more, The Cat in the Hat (+ Comes Back) or Fox in Socks (Tweedle Beetles are top tier). Seeing that they are from the same author, I won't worry about them being jealous.

Sidewalks are grey matter.

Over this winter break, I have discovered the immense joy of reading to my 2 year old son. He never would sit still for long enough to finish a book and flipped the pages before they were done. Now, we are able to read an average of 2 hours a day and 4 hours on a good one! I read the page, then I let him "discuss" its contents with lots of praise. I have always heard how good reading is for kids but experiencing it 1st hand with him is much better.

Thank you for listening.

Reading is so good for kids. My nephew and my (much) younger brother are the same age, and they used to sit side-by-side on my mother's lap in an easy chair while she read to them. One day, she had to take a phone call (from her aunt, IIR), and left them sitting together while she was occupied. They continued with the book and "read" to each other. They got to the end of that book, which they both knew by heart, and my nephew picked up my mother's Catholic missal from the table on the side of the chair. He flipped open the cover and was confronted with an image of Jesus nailed to the cross with big nails, blood, and all. He said to my brother "Look, Nate! That fella isn't going anywhere, is he?"

At the time, my sister was against religious indoctrination for her son, so he had never seen the gruesome statues/images that we had while growing up Catholic. My mother witnessed that as she returned to the living room, and was unable to read to them for just a bit because she couldn't keep from laughing.

Jesus Christ that is the epitome of all that is cute. I need to kill myself from seeing so much cuteness.

I would have thought 8 hobbits was an octohob. But that doesn't really stand up to logical scrutiny. So, hobbyte is probably correct, yes.
