For many years, I've lived with the understanding that if there was nothing in the beginning, there would be nothing still.

In otherwords, something has always existed or eternity is, somehow, a basis of reality.

I'm wondering what others thoughts are about this. I don't want to waste my time but I haven't been able to get around this idea.

Yesterday was weird for me, too. A few seconds after I got off the freeway, there was an accident at the exit. Turned out to be a suicide...whew.

Looks like some neighbors decided to play a prank on the garbagemen/women! (Sorry if this is absurdly large, trying to figure out if there's a way to resize images using the PF's BBCode-like parsing.)

When a picture is too large, you need to crop it or resize it in the service it's uploaded to. You cannot resize it in the post.

Not that I'm obsessed with bums, I read breastvertisements also.

When people talk about the inability to define objective "good" or "evil" without an outside moral reference they're forgetting about this picture.

A fellow inhabitant of Solon experienced a destructive fire last weekend. Filmmaker Richard Searles lost the contents of his storage barn and production facility to fires. ~20 years of archived footage - gone.

He and his wife are OK, and their home is undamaged, but so much film and tape is gone...along with editing equipment in the production building. I have mentioned "Dead River Roughcut" a number of times on this forum, but it bears repeating. It's an entertaining movie.

To the cop who pulled me over yesterday for having expired tabs: Yikes, I didn't realize I was a month overdue!

To me: I forgot to update my address with the license department!

To the perp who was up to mischief when the cop had me pulled over: Nice timing, dude. Your misdeeds caused the cop to excuse himself quickly from writing me a ticket.

To the cop again: Thanks for just a warning, my tabs are paid now.

Did you see that left vein on her arm?!?!? Oh man, I could get sooo much blood out of there! Eyes of a phlebotomist don't tire I guess. Can I take her shirt and glasses off to put them on a woman who has eaten more than tic tacs and lettuce? She looks like she would pass out on the quarter mile. No offense to the model, I just enjoy outside types.

Thank God the family and home survived. As for the lost footage, that would be like having some of your soul burned away I imagine.
