Just had a LOOOOONG discussion on a political blog with one religious person and one "new agey" person, discussing what science is and is not, pseudoscience, telepathy, quantum stuff, faith, the whole shebang
. I promise I tried to do my best, PF . I described the scientific method and mainstream science. Maybe I did some kind of difference, don't really know, hard to tell. As I suspected they finally both teamed up against me and started twisting my words . I've noticed this usually happens when people run out of arguments. I find it interesting that two persons with different kind of faiths can somehow temporary shake hands and join together against a person who favors science and the scientific method instead of faith. Or maybe I look at it from the wrong perspective? They might have seen me and science as a bigger threat than the others different faith?

I know lots of PFers have read about the recent finding of King Richard III. Fascinating story!
But did anyone else notice he looks an awful lot like Quentin Tarantino?

They might finish up re-enacting the Wars of the Roses over where to re-bury him. Apparently the city of York has written to the Queen arguing it be should be buried there, based on the history. But the terms and conditions of the archeological dig were that any human remains should be reburied "near" where they were found, and 100 miles away isn't "near".
