I think it means to be entangled in something, in some other colonies, rather than free to do silly things.

Is that the Minaret of Jam, Western Afganistan, Edward?
If so, have another turn.

It is definitely the Minaret of Jam.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Minaret_of_Jam

UNESCO wants to stabilize it but they haven't figured out how to get large equipment into the remote area.

I don't have another landmark ready so I will pass the turn on to whomever does.

Greg took this picture through the window

OK, he had to walk a little bit over 2 miles to take this picture.

Walk? What's that?

ps. If Greg guesses the landmark correctly, after all these years, does he get to post the next landmark?

Oops, sorry, it is an European thing. You move your legs in turns (left, right, left, right) to transfer the body from one place to another.

We have walking here, but it is quite local. There is no "walking to the store" or anything like that. Duke loves it when we wander in the woods. There are no landmarks in the wood, though, and precious few near this town.

Enough I guess about the Allan-Bradley clock tower. Meanwhile, maybe another (intended) tough one.

The original CAD drawing from this bridge comes from the site of the architect and it has been modified and tested to be reverse image search proof:

That's correct, good find. I entered it in wiki this morning; The paint bucket, or "bridge guard house" has been installed there only last week, while the Bridge is 17 years old.

Ha! Even if you'd displayed an actual photo of that thing, I would have never guessed it was a drawbridge mechanism.

Paint Roller Bridge is a very good name for that thing.

And even with Om's picture I couldn't tell precisely what the draw bridge lifted.

Looking at the last landmark's modifications which were vouched for, the result of those modifications looks much like those that were shown to be unsound.
I wonder if Greg got to see his landmark return.

It was when you originally posted that, but it seems to have lost that title within the last year.

Quote Quote by wiki on the two clocks
Allen-Bradley Clock Tower
Each face has a diameter of 40 feet, 3-1/2 inches
Dedicated on October 31, 1962

Abraj Al Bait
The clock faces are .141ft 141ft
completed 2012
50 years at #1 isn't too shabby.

Now where could our current landmark be?

Yea but when those 141 ft hands are running slow they have to call in Rockwell Automation (Allen Bradely) Then again the may just send up an Indonesian worker on a really big ladder.

It is actually done electronically
BTW The Allen Bradley Clocks are now illuminated with LED's.

Doesn't seem to be working.

That bears a striking resemblance to Frank Lloyd Wrights Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church in Milwaukee Wisconsin.

Funny. I googled Frank Lloyd Wright, right away, looked at several hundred images, and couldn't find it.

Can't remember how I found it now. Flying Saucer Architecture? Flying Saucer Church?
